About Abshir
The people’s candidate for the presidency of Somalia.
In 2019, Abshir founded a political party, the Alliance for the Future Party (Xisbiga Isbahaysiga Mustaqabalka) who’s central beliefs are encapsulated in the protection and promotion of human rights, fundamental freedoms and commitment to fight against extremism, radicalism and corruption.
Abshir is both a successful businessman & entrepreneur with a unique combination of leadership & strong international relations.
He was a consulting member of the UN Contact Group on Somali Piracy and has represented the Somali government at the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the EU Institutions in Brussels since 2004.
