Press Release 19/2/21 | Ongoing Conflict in Somalia
Somalia: Farmajo prefers bullets to ballots!
Violating the Somali Constitution, by refusing to organize the presidential election scheduled for February 8, ex-President Farmajo shoots the crowd, already causing many victims in Mogadishu.
We denounce the intervention of Turkish military forces and the involvement of Qatar in an enterprise to support the regime in place, at the risk of reviving civil war in Somalia.
Faced with an autistic ex-President, I call on all Somalis to mobilize and I ask the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council to condemn foreign interventions.
These risk plunging Somalia back into civil war and thus playing the game of the Shebabs against the interests of the Somali people who, for their part, aspire to peace, security and genuine direct democracy and without corruption.
